The Meijer Grand Opening GO Cart Instant Win ("Promotion") begins at 12:00:00 AM (Midnight) Eastern Time ("ET") on Sunday, October 11, 2009 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on Saturday, November 7, 2009.
2. METHODS OF ENTRY: The Promotion has two methods of entry: an In-store Instant Win Scratch Card and an Online Instant Win game. For the purposes of the Promotion, a day shall mean a 24-hour period, beginning at 12:00:00 AM (Midnight) ET and ending at 11:59:59 PM ET. Promotion is intended for participation only in the United States and shall be construed according to, and governed exclusively by United States law. Do not participate in the Promotion if you are not physically located in the United States at time of entry. Entry in the Promotion does not constitute entry into any other promotion, contest or sweepstakes. By participating in the Promotion, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Meijer Inc. ("Sponsor"), which shall be final and binding in all respects. By participating in the Promotion, participants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Promotion Entities (defined below), their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, retailers, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from any and all damages whether direct or indirect, which may be due to or arise out of participation in the Promotion or any portion thereof, or the acceptance, use/misuse or possession of prizes.
3. ELIGIBILITY: The Promotion is open only to legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older at the time of Promotion registration. Employees, officers and directors of Meijer Inc, Empower Media Marketing and RealTime Media, Inc. (collectively, “Promotion Entities”), their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, advertising, promotional, fulfillment and marketing agencies, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling & spouse) and persons living in the same households as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
a) HOW TO PLAY THE IN-STORE INSTANT WIN SCRATCH CARD:Go to a participating Meijer store in Hartland, MI. In-store Instant Win Scratch Cards will be handed out to consumers for up to two weeks following the grand opening of each store, while supplies last. You must scratch the card to reveal the Instant Win Game result and Unique Code then take the revealed code online to http://go.meijer.com. Enter the Code online by following the instructions on the Web Site. You must enter the Code exactly as it appears on the scratch card.
LIMIT: Limit one (1) In-store Instant Win Scratch Card prize per person or email address for the promotion period. Subsequent in-store Instant Win game wins from the same person or email address will be disqualified. Any attempt by a person to win the in-store instant win game more than once may result in disqualification at the discretion of the Promotion Entities.
b) HOW TO PLAY THE ONLINE INSTANT WIN GAME :Go to http://go.meijer.com complete the entry form with your true and correct information in all required fields, and click on the ”Submit” button. Upon successful completion of registration you will be given one (1) instant win game play. A Bonus Game Play can be earned the each time the user views the Bonus Promotional video on the website. Limit: a maximum of six (6) Bonus Game Plays can be earned each day during the Promotion Period.
Returning Entrants: You are only required to complete the online registration form the first time you register for the Promotion.
If you receive a winning Instant Win message, you will be directed to follow the directions to complete and submit the online prize redemption form. All Instant Win prizes must be claimed by 11:59:59 PM (ET) on Saturday, November 7, 2009. Proof of play and/or winning will not be deemed to be proof of winning by the Promotion Entities.

Entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. The authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. A potential winner must provide Sponsor with satisfactory proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the potentially winning entry. Entries generated by a script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified. Entries that are incomplete, illegible or corrupted are void and will not be accepted. Information collected from entrant is used only for the purpose of the prize drawing and to notify winners, and will not be re-used, sold or shared in any manner by Promotion Entities or any third parties unless entrant has elected to receive additional information and promotional material from Sponsor or a third party. Once the Promotion has ended, all information supplied by entrants will be removed from the database. 5. PRIZE AWARDING: Limit of one (1) In-store and one (1) Online Instant Win prize per person for the length of the promotion. Winners can redeem their prizes at http://go.meijer.com or by mailing a copy of the winning game piece, along with their name, mailing address, email address and unique code to Meijer GO Cart Instant Win, 295 East Swedesford Road, PMB, #263, Wayne, PA 19087. In order for a “potential” winner to become an “official” winner, the entrant must agree to hold RealTime Media, Inc., Empower Media Marketing, the Sponsor and their respective directors, officers, employees, licensees, affiliates, subsidiaries and retailers from damages which may arise out of participation in The Meijer Grand Opening GO CART Instant Win or out of acceptance, use, misuse or possession of any prizes which may be won, on the prize redemption form. No substitution, transfer of any prize or cash alternative permitted, except by Sponsor who reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value, if prize, or portion of prize, becomes unavailable. Potential Instant Win Game winners will receive a prize confirmation via electronic mail. All Instant Win prizes must be redeemed by 11:59:59 PM (ET) on Saturday, November 7, 2009. If the potential winning entrant of any Instant Win prize cannot be contacted; is ineligible; fails to claim the prize; does not agree to release the Promotion entities; if the Prize Notification is returned undeliverable; or if the potential winner otherwise fails to fully comply with these Official Rules, he/she will forfeit that prize and the prize will not be awarded. Entrants grant Sponsor the right to use and publish winner's proper name and State of residence online in connection with the Promotion. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Sponsor and its affiliates to use winner's name and likeness solely for advertising and promotional purposes as Sponsor so determines without notice or further compensation, except where prohibited by law. All decisions of the Promotion Entities shall be binding and final.
6. DISQUALIFICATION: Winning Codes are void and will be rejected if not obtained through authorized, legitimate channels or if any part is illegible, mutilated, counterfeited, forged or tampered with in any way or otherwise irregular, or contain printing, seeding, typographical, mechanical or other errors (collectively, “Irregular Code”). If because of error or for any other reason, there are more claims for a prize than prizes offered as stated in these Official Rules, a random drawing will be held among all eligible claimants in such category to award such prize. Sponsor is not responsible for technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware, software or web site. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network server or other connections, miscommunications, failed telephone or computer or telephone transmissions or technical failure, jumbled, scrambled or misdirected transmissions, for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, howsoever caused, or other error of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic. Entrants found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this Promotion, as solely determined by the Promotion Entities, will be disqualified. If disqualified for any of the above abuses, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate entrant's eligibility to participate in the Promotion. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion may be in violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Sponsor reserves the right to terminate, cancel, suspend and/or modify the Promotion if any fraud, virus or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper play of the Promotion, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In such event, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prizes at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. Only the stated number of prizes will be awarded. If for any reason more entrants receive an “Instant Winner” notice than the number of prizes stated herein, Sponsor reserves the right to award only the number of prizes stated in the Official Rules for that category. In no event will more prizes be awarded than those listed in Rule #4.
7. TAX INFORMATION: All federal, state, local, and other taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the applicable winner or the winner’s parent or legal guardian, if the winner is a minor in their state of residence.
8. DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Michigan, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Michigan, or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of California.
